Hi there,
You just posted this is another book-specific forum ;-) Posts in book forums are typically limited to questions about the book. This makes them easy to navigate for others as the forum only contains on-topic posts. However, it also means you're question is seen by fewer people. I think quite often people tend to ignore questions in book-specific forums as they'll think the author will deal with them
To attract more viewers and thus possibly better answers, try a generic ASP.NET 3.5 forum like ASP.NET 3.5 Basics (
http://p2p.wrox.com/asp-net-3-5-basics-351/) or ASP.NET 3.5 Professionals (
http://p2p.wrox.com/asp-net-3-5-professionals-352/) depending on the nature of your question.
For the general idea around managing data, uploading pictures, securing the site etc,. you indeed find a lot of useful information in Beginning ASP.NET 3.5. For the other questions / features, please post again in another, generic forum category.
Cheers,
Imar
