Adding/Using SQL Table Schemas
I have created several SQL schemas for my tables using SQL Server Management Studio Express (SSMSE). I can see the tables with their new schemas in VWD 2008 Express and can open the tables and look at the data in VWD Database Explorer. I can drop in a Gridview, select the Data Source, ConnectionString, Table & Columns. However, I error out when I try to run the page in my browser. Also if I try to run a "test query" while building the Gridview it returns with a message that my table is an "invalid object".
I did notice that in VWD Database Explorer I do not see a Security file for my DataBase which I can see from SSMSE. Does VWD 2008 Express allow coding against SQL schemas other than the default, dbo? If so can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hi there,
Can you define " I error out when I try to run the page in my browser"? Any specific error message? And how are you accessing your site? With the built-in web server or with IIS? Did you look at appendix B?
And what do you mean with "Security file"?

Read Appendix B
Read Appendix B and made the changes noted in the chapter. I am using VWDE's built in web-server. Using SQL Server Authentication. After makimg the changes noted in Appendix B everything worked great for my existing tables and the new tables I created where I did not try to modify the schema.
I then created (using SSMSE) a schema called TestSCH and applied it to a table I called TestTable. I am getting the following error when I "View in Browser" the Web Form that uses TestTable:

Hi there,
Does the account you're using in the connection string have access to the schema? And are you prefixing the table name with the schema name?
What's the reason you want to use a schema? Just because you want to try it out?
