Default Chp 6 Login Page

Hi Imar,

I am using 2008 Professional Visual Stodio, while adding Login Page, there is no such option to select "Master Page" as in VWD version.

where i should write "Partial Class Login"... end class? as i simply add Login Page which has the following code:
<%@ Page Language="vb" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeBehind="Login.aspx.vb" Inherits="Planet.Login" %>

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" >
<head runat="server">

<title>Untitled Page</title>
</head>
<body>
<form id="form1" runat="server">
<div>

</div>
</form>
</body>
</html>

Thanks

Hi there,

Looks like you created the wrong site type. It looks like you created a Web Application Project (using File | New Project) instead of a Web Site Project (using File | New Web Site).

The book assumes you use a Web Site Project.

Refer to page 34 for an explanation about the differences and the TIO at page 37 that shows you how to create a correct site.

If you want to continue with this chapter without recreating the site, grab a copy of Chapter 5 from the code download for this book and use that as you starting point.

Cheers,

Imar
