Hi there,

Can you post the code for your ASPX page and the User Control?

If you post code, please paste it in Notepad first to remove color coding and then use the forum editor's Code toolbar button to wrap your code in code tags. Otherwise, this forum messes up the code.

Cheers,

Imar

Hi there,

How did you get the * in the file name in the first place? Windows and Visual Studio don't let me do that as the asterisk is a reserved (wildcard) character....

Cheers,

Imar

Do you have anti-spam / virus / advertising software installed such as McAfee? These type of programs may block banners on their (well known) size of file name...

If you want to find out if that's causing the problem, temporarily disable it and rename the image. If it shows up fine you know what caused the initial problem.

Cheers,

i changed the images name back to what was mentioned in the book. they are working. i tried what you said above, they work if the antivirus in enabled. i think the problem was in the tag<asp:img />. i didnt give attention to the link, that might caused the problem.
