Hello,
I've tried setting up the sample PlanetWrox database a couple times. Each time, everything goes well and the database appears to be successfully created. When I double click as directed in Step 6, p 444 I receive the error message:

This database is not compatible with the current instance of SQL server.

To resolve the issue you must upgrade the database file by creating a new data connection or you must modify the existing connection to this database file.

I am anxious to get this thing going can you please help?

Which version of the book are you using? Mine doesn't have a step 6 on page 444.

Anyway, sounds like you have multiple version of SQL Server on your machine and created the database in one version, and try to open it with another. Could that be the case?

If you provide more details about what you're doing exactly and where, I can provide better guidance.

The edition of the book I'm using is copyright 2014.

Nevertheless, I wasn't able to get acceptance for the script from Resources Ch 12 to run so I went through the set-up for the Ch13 Source App_Data version of the PlanetWRox.mdf. I received a message asking if I wanted to update the mdf file and I chose yes. I received a warning about backward compatibility and after that the DB was recognized and everything worked well.

The problem for my situation seems to be solved but I wasn't able to run the Ch 12 Create Planet Wrox Database.sql successfully.
