Default Auto Generated Javascript

I curious -

When you place a RequiredFieldValidator (for example) onto a control or page, there is obviously Javascript that gets fired. This Javascript is stored somewhere.

I am searching my solution (and/or my files in the website) and cannot see any .js files.

Can you please tell me where these are located? Are they embedded in a .dll file - or stored somewhere that I just haven't looked for?

Default HTML Markup - JavaScript

I think the answer to my question is that the Javascript shows up in the View Source of the page, in other words - the markup is implemented when the page is created (loaded?).

Is this correct?

Yep, controls can emit JavaScript which is added to the page. You'll also see the JavaScript links as explained in the book which return a JavaScript file which is indeed embedded in the asp.net assemblies and retrieved at runtime.

Cheers,

Imar
