I would like to get your opinion on the use of frames in modern web application. From what I have read on different platforms,the general feeling towards frames is that they should be avoided at all costs.

Are frames still relevant or is there an alternative? I am working on a final year project and I think they would be ideal for my project, a banking application. I am having a challenge finding up to date information on frames, which is the reason why I think they may be difficult to work with.
