Hi JohnInPomeroy,

Yeah, it can be tricky to get started with this ;-) Two tips:

1. Practice, practice, practice. This does get better over time. Once you understand the code you're writing better, you'll make fewer errors to begin with, and you'll be able to solve problems quicker.

2. Get a free comparison tool so you can quickly compare your code with mine and see what's wrong. An online version can be found here: www.quickdiff.com.

Thanks Imar,

I hadn't thought of letting the machine do the grunt work of comparing code. I'll go get a "comparer".

I've always figured I learn better typing than just copying/pasting. At least asp.net and css sort of make sense from the beginning. It took me forever to remember what all the three and four letter abbreviations meant for z-80 assembler. But that was the late 70s and I was much younger.
