Default Imaar do you know?

Is the Wrox advanced version of your beginning book as tutorial as your is? Does the advanced version of Wrox's book (which is still awaiting publication and is the Wrox follow up to your book) have clear and concise, step by step instructions on how to perform certain tasks with VB and C# in Visual Studio like you have in your book? And then afterwards does it have a detailed explanation of what is happening as far as the under the hood mechanics is concerned in a"How it works" section just like your book does? Because if it does, then I would be very much interested in purchasing that book upon publication. Outside of online video tutorials this is probably the best way to learn a new technology like this.

Thanks :-)

I can answer this. No, the advanced Professional ASP.NET book from Wrox does not rely on as much step by step or Try it Out/How It Works style teaching as Imar's book does.

Default Okay then....

Does it have any step by step, try it out tutorials or "how it works" section at all? What is the method used in the book to teach the concepts that are described in the book. I would like to know more before I should make a decision on whether to buy it or not.

PS One more time for the record, just so I can be sure: you can run the examples and example code in the book with just Visual Studio 2012 Express? Is that correct? That is pretty much all you will need? You don't need to shell out big like $1800 for Visual Studio 2012 ultimate?
