Default The Eval property question

Looking at Page 516, am I correct in assuming that Eval is strictly one way display from the database? If so what is the other property that allows 2 way communication from front end to server? Is not BindItem meant for two way between front and sever?

The two-way binding alternative is Bind, introduced in the exercise on page 526 and explained on page 535.
