New kid on the blog
Hi everyone, I just started reading beginning ASP.NET 4.5 today and will be installing VS2012 later. Any advise for newcomer to ASP.NET programming, I have some knowledge in HTML coding only. Thks

Beginning ASP.NET 4.5 in C# and VB
Thanks for the advise Imar,
I'm thinking of buying ASUS T100 that runs Windows 8.1 to install VS2012 for my ASP.NET learning project. This notebook can also be used as a tablet. Price @ $500/-. Is this a good idea?

I don't know the specs of that machine so I can't tell.
Google for Visual Studio 2012 system requirements and you'll find the specs for the software.

Did you compare these specs with the requirement? I don't know this machine so I don't want to recommend something that turns out later not to work.
