One last problem I'm facing, which sending an email through the host.
The code for sending an email through the contact us page is working on my local machine but not on server. (it is not reporting even an error)
Simply the form folds up (by JQuery) but the message sent animation does not show! and nothing happens, no email is received and nothing.

I asked my host but they did not provide any useful help. Does anyone have any idea on what properties should I include for the smtp via gmail?
Should the host provide something for me? I really have no idea.
I researched and got some info, but don't know if it is relevant to this issue:

To configure your email client, you need to use the following settings:
Incoming email server: pop.ipage.com
Outgoing email server: smtp.ipage.com
Incoming port number: 110
Outgoing port number 25 or 587
Username: The full mailbox username.
Password: Password for the mailbox.
Enable the authentication for the outgoing email server

Honestly I did not understand some of it :/

Try removing the UpdatePanel temporarily as suggested in the book. Then you can see the error message that occurs which may shed some light.
