Default Helps for Chapter 02

Note: Chapter 02; page 37; Step 1 of Try It Out

Doing VB and C# examples in tandem.

If you do VB and C# examples in tandem you should also change the site names from Site to SiteVB and SiteCS as well as the books suggested change to the directory above Site.

If you don’t
1) The Start Page of VWD will list “Site” twice as Recent Projects.
2) The name on the tabs for the two instances of VWD will both be “Site”.

With this name change they become distinct.

I'm working my way through the book. If you have any more helps for Chapter 02 please add them.

I’m an experienced software engineer but NOT within the Microsoft environments.

Hi there,

If you hover over the items on the Start Page they tell you in which folder they are stored. So you don't *have* to rename them, but clearly it makes things a little easier.

Is that addressed to me or to other readers of this forum? I put everything I could think of already in Chapter 2 ;-)

Cheers,

Imar,

The hover works within the IDE and will someday get me out of trouble.

It is addressed to everyone but more to the beginner that went before me to add to or the beginner that comes after me.

The text looks well written, so I only want to hear about things that caused people problems.

Note: I see that others are using two digits for chapter numbers probably because a search for “Chapter 2” results in an error message telling you that “2” is to short of a word. A search for Chapter 02” works.
