Can I move on .....????
Hi Imaar and/or others who may be knowledgeable on this matter,
I have an important question. I've been having some trouble in getting certain things to work in Chapters 9,10 & 11.
For instance some things like the Watermark won't show up and I have not done the animation shown in the Try Out on page 392-395.
In addition I have not got the Email and Read from Text file to work out.
My question is this:-
I intend to return to these and fix these problems and incomplete work at a later date. Can I proceed with Chapter 12,
or will I be stalled in the Try-outs in the Chapters from 12 and after for not having done certain things in 9,10 and 11.
Here are some other examples of some shortcomings I have in my project
My Contact form shows up and the "Message Sent" label is visible despite having set it's visibility property to "false".
I do not have the code from Page 325 in. However I don't see why things such as this should not allow me to move on. Howevver since you are the author (or in the case of "others" have read and used the book before me), perhaps you can give me a more certain answer as to what from these chapters should be working and what can be omitted and yet make good progress from 12 onwards.
Once I hear from you I will either move on if you say it's okay or go back and fix things from 9 - 11 and only then proceed with 12.
Thanking you,
Kaiser

Hi there,
None of these topics are crucial in understanding the remainer of the book, so you should be able to continue.
Alternatively, you could start a separate topic for each problem here on this forum, describe the issue in detail and provide some relevant code, and we may be able to help you fix them. They might be easy things to fix. If you do, please specify chapter and page number and TIO / problem in the subject so others can find it as well later.
Cheers,
Imar

Thanks will move on then
Okay
I will move on then and return to 9,10 and 11 later for a more complete treatment. If I still do not overcome problems then, I will post my code with very specific references to pages from the text.
Thanks a great deal once again,
Sincerely,
Kaiser
