Default C# and Beginning ASP.NET 4

Hi Imar,

I have bought you book 'Beginning ASP.NET 4: in C# and VB' but I have some questions:

1- To which level this book will take me?
2- Will it learn me C# for web development?
3- Why there is not a specific book for C# and web development? Is it because for example we need to know just a little of C# to build web applications?

Cheers!

I'd say beginning to intermediate web development skills. Clearly, it;s a beginner's book, so you'll need follow up books afterward to dig deeper into other topics.

Given its title (Beginning ASP.NET in C# and VB), I'd say yes ;-)

You need to know quite a bit about C# to be a professional web developer. However, most of the C# knowledge is applicable to all kinds of project types; not just web development.. So, after my book, you could get books like Professional ASP.NET 4 in C# and VB and Professional C# 2010 to deepen your knowledge in these areas.

Cheers,

Imar

Like I said, the first will take you to a beginner or intermediate level. The second takes you further, but this is all pretty hard to quantify. Simply reading a book doesn't make you a pro; you'll need to do lots of experimenting, practicing and Googling as well....

Cheers,

Imar
