Default Newbie - Where to start???

I am a newbie to programming and would like to start programming Asp.Net websites. I picked up Beginning Asp.Net 4 as well as Beginning Visual Basic 2010. I am not sure if it would be more beneficial to go through the VB book first and then move to the Asp.Net book or vice-versa.

Thanks

Hi there,

If the focus is on ASP.NET, then I would start with Begining ASP.NET. In Chapter 5 you're introduced to programming in VB (and in C#). From there, you could use the VB book to deepen your knowledge on VB.

Either way, it's a good combination of books ;-)

Cheers,

Imar

Hi Nick,

I have a bunch of Wrox books and they are a great learning tool. I am currently going through Beginning Asp.Net 4. I would be more than happy to collaborate with you as we are both beginners.

Thanks!
