I had installed Visual Studio 2010 express, however, it was not connecting to the database. I uninstalled all the components manually through control panel, and reinstalled VS 2010 express. The WebPI indicated that it has successfully installed 3 components however I am unable to find visual web developer express or the SQL server express in the programs/when I perform search on my computer for these components.

I highly appreciate any help the forum members can offer.

You could try completely uninstalling VS with this tool: http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/vs2010uninstall and then try again.

Otherwise, you could consider contacting Microsoft for support as something is wrong with your system or setup.
