Default Security Question

If memory serves me correctly is it not possible to pull a userId from someone browsing your webpage using server objects with .NET and Classic ASP? So can you not pull their userIds and their IP addresses using the built in server objects namespaces and objects in .NET and Classic ASP from the server that the end user logged onto? Or even their network ID? If so, do you go over any of this in your book?
Thanks

It depends on what Id you're referring to. And the IP address is available.

To find out what else is available, start a debug session and make the debugger break into some code. Then add a watch to the Watch window for the Request property of the page (simple type Request on a new line in the watch window). Then you can see what data is available.
