Chapter 19 - folders and files for the C:\BegASPNET/Release folder.
I am missing some folders and files from the C:\BegASPNET/Release folder. Where can I obtain this information? Please be specific.
Thanks in advance,
J. Koyle

I could ask you the same ;-)
The Release folder gets populated when you deploy the site in Chapter 19, based on your own files. These files are not included in the book's download (although the final result can be found in the Final folder). What files are you missing and what makes you think files are missing? Did you follow the deployment exercises in Chapter 19?
Cheers,
Imar

Chapter 19 - folders and files for the C:\BegASPNET/Release folder.
I have not read Chapter 19 from the beginning.
Let me explain, on page 407, in the paragraph "How It Works", you refer me to the section "Understanding Security in IIS" in Chapter 19.
You didn't mention anything about The Release folder gets populated when you deploy the site in Chapter 19.
If you wanted me to start from the Beginning of Chapter 19, then you should have stated that. instead of referring me to the middle of the Chapter as you do on page 407.
I apologize for wasting your time.

It's a free country (at least where I live), so allow me to reply anyway ;-)
Yes, you're right. The forward reference seemed like a good idea to provide more information about security. However, once you're forwarded there, it's not really clear which folders you need to configure. When you follow Chapter 19 from the start, you need the Release folder, otherwise you need the standard site's folder.
A note in Chapter 12 would have been appropriate to help you better understand which folder to configure. I have added this to my list of changes for an upcoming update of the book, if any.
Cheers,
Imar

Chapter 19 - folders and files for the C:\BegASPNET/Release folder
Don't forget to fix page 406, in the first paragraph of "Try It Out" also. You again refer to the Section in Chap 19, "Understanding Security in IIS"
You might also mention these facts in Chap 19, page 719, Item Number 2.
This is where a reader first realizes that something has been missed.
Again, I don't need a reply from you concerning what you might do in the future.
Cheers
