I wanted to know if there is an additional step needed to get ADO.NET Entity Data Model as an option in my installed templates for VS 2010 Express?

Hi Sean,

There shouldn't be an extra step, and the template should be available when you install VS or VWD 2010.

However, I've seen numerous reports from people who seem to be missing the template as well. Unfortunately, there appear to be different issues with different resolutions so you'll need to figure out which one applies to you: http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&h...w=1366&bih=647

Hi Imar,

Thank you for your reply. The problem seems to reside in the actual Express download. For one reason or another, the ADO.NET Framework is not downloading with the other files. According to MS, the only solution is to remove the program and download it again.

May I ask how you found that out? Did you contact support or did you find an on-line resource stating this? It has always worked fine for me (on Express as well as on the commercial versions), so for future reference it would be interesting to know what's causing the issue.
