Can you elaborate?

To find out of it's a Web Site Project or a Web Application Project check out the following:

1. The number of Code Behind files that pages such as Default.aspx have. You may need to click "Show Hidden Files" on the Solution's Explorer toolbar

2. Check the folder C:\BegASPNET\ND_Miller. Do you see a .csproj or a .vbproj file there?

Default Problem with entities framework

Imar,

Both are projects - guess you can tell I am a little inexperienced.

There is no icon for hidden files in the solutions explorer. The default page in the root directory has only one code behind file - suffix aspx.vb. Also, I don't see any files with a suffix of .vbproj in the root directory. My intention was to create a web site and not an application, per the boook.

Regards,

Nelson

No worries. That's why you bought a Beginner's book, didn't you? ;-)

But it seems indeed you have a Web Site Project. Maybe it's not targeting .NET 4? You can check on the Project's property Pages which you can access by right-clicking the project.

If that doesn't shed any light, can you send me a zipped copy of the web site? You'll find my e-mail address in the About the author section at the start of the book.

Cheers,

Imar
