Chpt 14 P423 Step 10

I have gone through this Try It Out three times and when I get to step 10 (swithch to Markup View" I dont have the "<asp:BoundField" code in the photo album. Isn't that code suppose to be in the. What step is the BoundField suppose to occur in?

Hi there,

I think this is a bug in VWD where it doesn't add the correct columns for you. It's been reported before (although I couldn't find the exact posts here anymore).

What might help is refreshing the data source (there's a Refresh Data Source link on the SMart Takss panel) before you set up the data control. I can't explain how to do that right now, as your chapter / page / step number seem off. Can you specify the exact page and step number? (In my book, page 423 is in chapter 12).

I my nook and not hard copy, it is in chapter 14 - Try it Out "A Simple Entity-DataSource Application". In step 10 (of 13) in Markup View there is no BoundFields as indicated on step 10.

Did you try refreshing the data source as explained in step 8?

Also, are you sure your database schema is correct (both primary keys as well as foreign keys), and that you created the EF model after you created / changed the database?

Also, my nook e reader has 656 pages and this i tem is on p 424 on that device. Not sure how this aligns with the hard copy.
