What happens when you do File | New Web SIte, configure tracing and then request the Trace.axd file? If it still fails, something wrong with your machine or configuration. A Google search may help you out here.

If it does work, something is wrong with your site. In that case, can you send me a zipped copy of the site (e-mail address in the intro of the book), trimmed as much as possible, with only the files needed to reproduce the problem? (E.g. I don't want to go through many steps to configure your site to get it up and running). Then I'll take a look and try to figure it out.

Thanks for the troubleshotting tip. It worked when configured a new site. So I went back and checked my defective site and I had failed to set enable to True in my web.config file.
