Wow, you're easy to upset.
Your logic is wrong. Yes, the book is about ASP.NET but that doesn't mean everything related to ASP.NET fits in this book's forum category. This forum category is meant for questions about this book, not for general ASP.NET questions (just as your MSDN post shouldn't have been posted in the
VB category, but in the ASP.NET category. Yes, it's about
VB, but a general ASP.NET forum makes a lot more sense).
For general ASP.NET questions, Wrox has a number of other, on-topic forums, all listed here:
http://p2p.wrox.com/asp-net-4-539/
My recommendation would have been to post in the General ASP.NET category. By posting there, you attract more viewers, increasing your chances on an answer. At the same time, people who do have the book and want to ask a question about it will find it easier to find on-topic questions and answers in the book's own forum.
Is that so hard to accept?
