I am struggeling with the concept of cross page posting. How exactly does that work? I noticed that you made not that much mention of this concept in your book. Is that more of an advanced concept that does not fall under the purview of a beginner's ASP.NET 4.0 book or is that a pretty much new concept that is being used by ASP.NET 4.0?

Yes, that's how I see it. You don't need it that often, and it can be tricky to set up right, so I decided to skip it in my book.

No, cross page post backs were introduced in ASP.NET 2, so they have been around for quite some time.
