Default Not receiving email form?

First, this is my first Wrox book. I had previously been trying the Murach books, but your step by step explanations are clearer and far more accurate. I look forward to purchasing many more. That being said---:

I'm having issues with the TryItOut section of Chapter 11. I do not receive the form information when sending mail from the ContactForm User control. I'm sure web.config is set correctly because I received the test email from "TryItOut -sending email" section prior to this.

Where do I begin to troubleshoot? VS10 does a great job of throwing intelligible exception messages to help you debug. While I did have a number of initial syntax errors (I typed instead of copied) I corrected those.

Up to this point, I've been able to correct my errors, and I try not to just "copy and paste" the source code into my projects when there's an error. Thanks in advance for your help.

W!

Hi there,

Do you get an error? If so, can you post it here?

Also, does "try not to copy and paste" including pasting in a forum message? :-) If not, please post the markup and code behind of the control here and I"ll take a look.

Cheers

Imar

Default Found the error

Aha! You called me out by not pasting my code! Just so I wouldn't be embarrassed, I reviewed the contactform.acsx.cs code again with fresh eyes and saw that I had left out just one line of code:

mySmtpClient.Send(myMessage);

It works. Thank you for being extremely responsive. I look forward to continuing my journey down the road of web programming with you.

I offered you choice ;-) Didn't know if it was spoiling your discovery fun if you posted your code and I pointed out the mistake...
