Question on encapsulating a partial view
In chapter 10 beginning on page 212, you begin a discussion on partial views, which by the way, is excellent. At the end of that discussion (page 218), you hint at how to make this code reusable in other views using ActionFilters. That discussion starts in chapter 11 on page 250.
Here are my questions: Why didn't you take the code you used in chapter 10 and rework that same code to show how it's changed to make it reusable via ActionFilters? Why is only some of the ActionFilter code explained? It's hard for me to follow how it all fits together and as such, not very useful as something I can apply to any code I'm likely to write on the job.
Could you be persuaded to post an ActionFilter version of the chapter 10 code? I would be most grateful, as I can see this as something I would use if I had a better understanding of how it works.
