Default Unable to install WebMatrix

I am unable to install WebMatrix from the WPI. Everything appears to go well until at the end i am informed that the WPI was unable to install WebMatrix because some parts (needed) are missing.
I understood that WPI would automatically install any missing parts prior to installing WebMatrix.
The missing parts are always the ASP.Net webpage (which was already in existence prior to the installation but is NOT there after this attempt).
I had been using Visual Studio 2010 prior to this installation attempt and am now getting messages that there webpage part is missing. Visual Studio automatically installed it again.

What can i do to get WebMatrix?
Thank you,
wjprice

Hmmm, that doesn't sound good. Do you have any beta or preview releases of Visual Studio or other components installed? Also, try completely uninstalling WebMatrix and then try again.

If it keeps failing, you should contact Microsoft. WebMatrix is a fully supported product so they should be able to help you out getting it up and running.

Cheers,

Imar
