I'm completely new to programming but I have to learn by the end of next month. I'm having difficulty downloading Chapter 3 code. It seems like what I download and what's in the book are two different things. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi there,

Can you provide more information about what's missing or is different? I just checked the download and the book, and all files are there (e.g. _Navigation.cshtml, StyleSheet.css, sell.cshtml etc.). The only file that is described in the book and that is not part of the download is Template.html but that's because it gets renamed to _Layout.cshtml in a later exercise.

Thanks for the quick reply. I see the code up until page 62. I don't see any for: Stylesheet.css on page 62, _AutomationLayout.cshtml on page 63 and _ElectronicsLayout.cshtml on page 64.
There isn't much code to type, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything in the chapter.

Ah, I see. The files mentioned in the exercise on pages 62 to 66 are just an example to show how layouts work.They are not part of the Classifieds site (the exercise instructs you to create a new site) and as such the files are not included in the download. You don't need them in order to follow along with the Classifieds site.
