Default JQuery validation Chap 6

I found the answer- browser settings-
not sure why it ran some JQuery but not the validation-

Thanks

Chapter 6: When running the JQuery Validation code in chapter 6 I keep getting the ModelState error messages output and not the JQuery error messages output.
Form works fine- emails etc- except for that.
I also ran the pure Chap 6 Classifieds Source code and same thing happens.
The JQuery is not running ?
The other JQuery samples worked fine.
Id appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks,
