Webserver not opening page from Webmatrix 3 giving connection error

Hello!

I have installed webmatrix as explained in your book and created cshtml page as per instructions but the page is not opening in webserver.

In IE it says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and in chrome it says " Chrome could not connect to localhost:...."

Please help to fix this problem.

Hi,

I searchout for this problem and remove the # sign from hosts file in windows, but still unable to open the file. Getting error as This file has stopped.

Please help.

Hi there,

Do you have security software such as a firewall running on your machine? If so, have you tried disabling it to see if that makes a difference?

Hi!,

No firewall is active.

I uninstall and reinstall the webmatrix 3, now getting the following error:

Hi there,

Looks like you have a more recent version of WebMatrix installed. Did you follow the help link to the Microsoft site and configure the site to use the correct version?
