Default Ch. 18 Exercise 1, is there a change?

In chapter 8 exercise 1 you are to apply IE7. I did, I think, and I noticed no change. Is there a change?

Yes, check: http://www.smilingsouls.net/BegCSS/1...rcise18-1.html

It's very subtle... the big "W" stays fixed in place in the lower right corner of the screen as you scroll with IE7 applied, and is not without it.

Rich

Oh, and its also semi-transparent.

So it fixes two things, the position of the "W", and the CSS 3 "opacity" property.

Ah, there's another one (been a long time since I looked at that, in fact haven't seen it since I wrote it :))... when you hover over the links at the top there is a description that appears. Without IE7 that doesn't work either.

Rich

I see! That IE7 is quite handy. Nice book by the way. It's always nice to find a technical book that is a page turner.
