Default RE: actually getting the site to be viewable!

hi guys, this is Brian--i'm absolutely picking my hair out over
here for the past 4 hours trying to figure out how to get my site
to come up when i type the url in my web browser...i've designed a
test homepage image in photoshop---then brought that into
fIreworks, optiimized it--exported html , inserted that into my new
sites document window--then i saved as-and called it index--i then
previewed in browser and it worked...but everytime i try to type in the
web addresss like a normal person wanting to view my site would--all
i got is my host's placeholder saying this is the future space of theblupill.com..

I need help really bad, its crucial i get this site up at least for beta testing...thanks
guys for any help! :(

Hey man,
I think the problem is that:
there may be another file named index in the directory. Also have heard that some server systems may not recognise
"index.whatever"
to solve this problem try renaming the file as
default.htm
and after you upload please refresh your ftp directory . view in a browser and holding ctrl click refresh or F5 to force the browser to not show you stuff from the cache but new stuff from the server.
