Hi there,

In the future, can you please select a different forum here on P2P? this one is exclusively for readers of the books Beginning Dreamweaver MX.

Anyway, what you need is to buy a domain name. You can do so with various domain registrars. Prices vary from $5 to $70 a year, depending on where you register them and how much domain names you register. http://www.nic.com is one, http://www.easyspace.com/ is another but there are zillions more.

The next step is to set up a hosting site. Easyspace (again, there are many many others), for example, offers a hosting package that allows you to upload your site so it can be reached with the domain you specified.

If you mean with www.whateveriwantittobe.com that you could also have www.whatevermoreyouwantittobe.com and www.evenmoredomainsyouwanttohave.com and so on and have them all point to your site, then I am afraid that's not possible. You'd be taken over the internet if you could do that....

Cheers,

Imar

Thank you very much.. and as much as i would like to take over the internet, thats not exactly what i was looking to be able to do. However i did find it quite humorous.
