Default MX 2004 Show POP-UP greyed out

I do hope I have not missed this query in the past entries. I have just created a Dreamweaver Page template. I went to do exercise 4. ( I may/must have inadvertently pressed an incorrect key) adding the rollover behaviour from chapter 3. When I click on the Add Behaviour in the Tag <img>. Show pop-up Menu is greyed out. To get round this I deleted the file, closed the program and started again. It is still greyed out. In Index_backup.htm from which I have made cookingplace template the show pop-up Menu is not greyed out. If I go to Index.htm then it is also not greyed out.

Do any of these links help?

Basically, create a *normal* page, add a menu and then copy the code from that page into your template.

Cheers,

HI Imar

Again thanks for your stunning and fast support. However I decided that as an exercise I would start again on page one and work through it all again which was worth while as it all sunk in s little deeper. This has been why I did not thank you earlier.

Referring back to my very first concern. PHP and Linux etc. Is there a way I can continue or start again with your book but use Linux PHP etc. I have a Linux set set up server.

FYI: It seems that the reason that the pop-up menu is greyed out is because of the fact that Dreamweaver cannot recognize the links inside the menu, and thus cannot change them automatically when you create a page at another folder level than the main template.
It's probably better not to use the menu at all (use CSS menus instead) or use root based links, like /SomeFolder/SomePage.asp.

ASP and PHP are two completely different concepts. While many concepts in Dreamweaver will be the same for both languages, the programming code isn't transferable. So, an explanation about the code Dreamweaver generated in ASP is completely useless for a PHP site.

Did you check out this book: http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/WroxTit...764543873.html
