Hi All

I want to get PHP and MySql running.

I have downloaded PHP as suggested.

For MySql I went to http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/4.1.html Read about the recommended release and downloaded Windows Essentials (x86) 4.1.13.

I hope I have done it correctly but when I open C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin I can not see the usual symbol on the Mysqladmin file and when I do find it and click it open and closes in the blink of an eye. The same happens for mMySqlShow. Accordingly I can not test the system.

I had MySql and PHP running with Apache Friends but I understand that this will not run in parallel to IIS which I want to have as well becasue most of this book uses ASP and IIS.

I think you're better off posting this in one of the PHP forums as this is closer related to PHP than it is to Dreamweaver....
