Default MX 2004 - Chapter 5 - Pgs 190-192

I enjoy the MX 2004 book and think it's great you added the forums group for further support, thanks.

My problem started when I finish page 192, I check the browser and the map of italy is there (because the book didn't say to close the eye). Both hotspots work, showing text in the textMap. But when I click on the the other buttons, United States and France, the Italy map doesn't hide and the other maps show behind the Italy map.

I go back to MX 2004 and close the eye, save it and open the browser, then the map of italy doesn't show up when I click on the italy button. The other two, United Stated and France buttons work.

I go back to MX 2004 and delete the two hotspots, check it out on the browser, then the map of italy shows up no problem when I click on the Italy button.

Is this a problem on my end? If so, how can I fix it?

Thanks...

Hi there,

Take a look at this thread: http://p2p.wrox.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17280

Maybe you're having problems with the same bug in the code?

Thanks Imar,

Thanks for the link. Just to confirm, the map name must be different than the id for ie?

I fixed the problem differently. Let me know if it would be a problem.

I clicked on the map of italy and changed the map (map name) to italyMapInner. That took care of the problem. (I'm using IE7).

It's that simple?

It doesn't really matter how you name them, as long as the IDs in the page are unique....

Glad it's working now....
