I am totally new to Java and was excited to purchase Mr. Horton's text to get started. I read the cover page, and then went to download the software. I was a little disappointed to see what seems to be a discrepancy in the text (as follows):

- Cover page: Talks about Java 2 Standard Edition version 5.0 or(J2SE 5.0). Also, the title has the words Java 2 JDK 5.

- Installing the JDK (page 6): talks about jdk1.5.0. Figure 1-1 is also consistent with page 6.

I am confused, which version is it?

In fairness to the author, he clearly explains this issue in the previous section (page 5).

I was in a hurry when I purchased the book to download the software and jumped to the "Installing the JDK" section.

The subject is very clear to me once I read the intro the way I was supposed to.
