I want to say thanks to the Author for including extensive coverage of Printing in Java (pgs 952-987). I was suprised to notice that several other publishers of Java books near my local Book store have little or no coverage in Java printing.

This was the deciding factor in my decision to purchase this book.

The idea of a paperless office is a meaningfull goal. However, we still print documents every day at my place of employment. Printing documents is the de facto standard of intra-office communication. Until digital means of internal communication become more standardized, natural, and secure, printing on paper will be the norm.

I'm puzzled as to why the other beginning Java books I reviewed did not have sections on printing in Java.

This is why Ivor Horton is such a good author :) gets into subjects into one book without needing further review.
