Default Possible Safari bug Chapter 1 Example 2

Safari 8.0.6 doesn't parse in the same order as Chrome or Firefox. The red background appears after the second alert even though the code comes before it. Any idea why that would be?

Frankly put, Safari is behind the pack of modern browsers, as far as features/support/technology is concerned. It appears to still exhibit the old behavior of not updating the page until the code finishes execution.
