I set up the initial example (Page 776-780 using a hard drive(s:\) on my machine. When I publish, I get as par as item 6 on page 777.

When I click next (on Figure 24-2) the exhibits 24.3, 24.4 and 24.5 never appears. The "ClickOnce" folder is filled with a folder named "Application Files", a file named "Click Once" and a file named "Setup".

If I take the next "logical" step and click the "Setup" file it simply runs my code in the debug mode, no files are generated in th "Program Files" folder and no shortcut appears.
