I'm working through the new Beginning Lightswitch book and loving it. Thanks! Quick question: In chapter 4 on the Aquarium sample, I seem unable to control the width of the Creature drop-down column on the grid. I open the ShoppingCart screen and click the Creature field in the Data Grid Row section of the heirarchy. Then, I go to properties, and I go to the Sizing section of Properties. I try various combinations to control horizontal width (Width Auto with a Min Width or Auto Off and specifying an exact pixel width). I can't seem to resize the width of the column. It's resizable, but it comes up very small by default, and the Creature Name gets cut off until you manually resize the column. Suggestions?

Hi: Have you tried using 'Auto' selection for width and height. Page 238 in chapter 9 explains the Layout Container sizing. Para 3 and Figure 9-16 explains how it works. Also read page 239 paragraph 1 and figure 9-17 and 18 about weighted sizing. Give it a try. Good luck. rao.
