Hello! I had bought same kind of book - the difference was that the title was php 5 and in that book, register_globals were just turned off but not deprecated. I read somewhere that this version 6 is only for 5.3- just like php.net was thinking originally to launch php 6 but instead did all changes in php 5.3.
I have just recently learnt about sql injection and how they can harm if we pass variables through urls or in $_POST forms. I read on php.net that they can even come in places where there are login forms and in pagination. So I want to buy a book that covers all this in detail, and the methods of complete prevention. Can you help me choose the book?
