Default localhost problems

Hi All,
I installed AMP and got everything working. The problem is that I downloaded Zend Developmet studio. While it has some how change the path that i used for where the php files live..ie /usr/local/apache2/test.
When I open a file in the browser it is displayed as text/
I typed http://localhost and got the "if this shows up its working" message from the iondex.html file.

I'm running on RH Linux 7.3

TIA

Sean

Hi Christian
I'm working through the book and i'm up to chapter 4 page 123 - 127 if i run the table2.php file it displays the php file correctly, however when I click the link on the page to display movie details, All the text from the movie_details.php file is displayed what i should see is the Details page on page 127 of the book.

if I type the following in netscape web browser "http://localhost/table2.php"
i get a dialog asking "table2.php is of type application/x-httpd-php, and netscape does not know how to handle this file type, this file is located at "http://localhost/" what should netscape do with this file?
There are two options "Open With" or "Save to"

So i'm at a loss of whats actually going on.

Sean

I don't know what's going on, but a temporary fix may be to add this line to the top of the file:

header("Content-Type: text/html");

There are only two stupid questions: the one you can't find the answer to and don't ask, and the one that you can find the answer and do ask.
