If anybody else has had this problem could you please help.

Everything works fine as long as the total remains under $1000, but over $1000 it just changes the ammount from say $1300 to $13.

Has anybody found a work around for this?

Also while trying to figure this out with modifying the code from the errata but then ran into another problem:

I have not changed any of the code except for changing $quan to $qty
