I wrote earlier with a problem of not being able to run a password function locally (localhost) but it would run perfectly on the remote server. I've solved that one...I reinstalled both Apache and PHP. However I now have another problem: in the same folder as the password files, I have the search engine files, searchfunc.php, webdata.php and search.php (its the search page that the password function protects). I can now fill in the password and proceed to the search page. But when I try to search for something, nothing happens, the input text box just goes blank. Again all this works perfectly on the remote server, by just uploading those same files.

Can anyone help please.
