im running the newest version of apache with php4. the http://localhost page works fine (if this works we did it!)

if i add the three lines to the conf file the two Addtype and One load module apache wont restart. And right now the second file phptest.php is not found when i enter that into the browers (Http://localhost/phptest.php)

What should i do?

Should i just buy the new php5 book since so much has changed? Is it worth learning php4?

When you click on "Test the HTTPD.conf file" (Via the start menu assuming you're using windows) In the window that appears are there any errors that come up and if so, what do they say?

Also, if you want, try using http://www.appservnetwork.com/ it's an auto installer for windows... it does all the hard work for you.
