Default Problems with easyphp3 and Beginning PHP, Apache, MySQL Web Development

Hi, first off I'm sorry my english, i don't know too much.(i'm from canary islands, spain).
2 years ago I bought Beginning PHP, Apache, MySQL Web Development in spanish version by anaya-wrox editorial.
On this book php is 4.3.3 version, but i'm installed easyphp v3 and php is 5.2.8.

I don't know if I've to change something in php.ini file to do exercises book.

for example, this code don't play like it must be like in book said:
HTML Code:
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Find my Favorite Movie!</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
PHP Code:
<?php

echo "<a href='http://localhost/moviesite.php?favmovie=Stripes'>";
     echo
"Click here to see information about my favorite movie!";
     echo
"</a>";
?>
HTML Code:
</BODY>
</HTML>
you may clic there and professedly it show next code but not run and it give error 404:

HTML Code:
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>My Movie Site -
PHP Code:
<?php echo $_REQUEST['favmovie'?>
HTML Code:
</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<?php
//define ("FAVMOVIE", "The Life of Brian");
echo "My favorite movie is ";
echo $_REQUEST['favmovie'];
echo "<br>";
$movierate=5;
echo "My movie rating for this movie is: ";
echo $movierate;
?>
HTML Code:
</BODY>
</HTML>
necessarily I've to buy a new book upgrade?¿ or what i have to change in my easyphp v3 php.ini file to play with this book?¿

thanks a lot

Chris
