Default Printing reports to paper

Yo! I really like Access and the way you can generate lovely reports that are just as nice as the text boxes we can easily make on displayed forms. Calculated fields, all easy and useful. But vb.net seems to have forgotten that many applications need to generate attractive reports in a variety of fonts and display boxes. I am thinking of a complicated sort of invoice, say.

I see a few pages on the PrintDocument class in Chapter 8 under dialogs, but I need to do more than print pages of text.

I believe Crystal Reports is the way to go, but our favourite book does not mention this topic. Where can I go for a nice primer on the subject, with numerous walk-throughs, covering some different kinds of report? Incidentally, I notice other books seem to omit this topic as well.

Yassou!

Printing, Graphics, most stuff about databases, API, stuff like that tend to have specialized books.
There is so much to learn - something as to be left out of a Beginners book ;)

Here are a few links

Thank you Jonathan. I guess I was hoping for a freebie, but I will take your advice and buy a suitable book locally. Meanwhile, I have found a Crystal walkthrough at http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/is...l/default.aspx
and there is a site at http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/default.asp which is enough for me to make a good start. Thanks. I really appreciate this forum and the personal attention of an author.
