I've been trying to debug this for days, but to no avail... cboUserXXX.DataSource assignment fails for all three combos on pnlUsers (cboUserGroup, cboUserRole, cboUserManager).

The DisplayMember and ValueMember assignments work (as shown in the Autos window while debugging), but the datasource assignment still fails (remains set to Nothing)! What could it be?

Are you specifying the correct table names in your DataSet when performing the binding? Can you post your code for the binding of these combo boxes?

Thanks for replying. It wasn't the table names (it worked fine for cboGroups, for instance, while not for cboUserGroup, which came right next). It turned out to be the Sorted property if the combos, which I had set to True (don't ask me why!). As soon as I reset that, it worked.
